November 08, 2006Bush press conference bleep?Warning: LiberalA friend and I just went out to her car to listen to the Bush press conference on NPR, and I swear they bleeped something he said. Anyone know what? (Montana! Whee! Rumsfeld gone!! Is it Christmas?) UPDATE (7:30pm): Wonkette's take on the bleep Posted by Kat at November 8, 2006 01:47 PMComments
I was watching MSNBC and they bleeped it there also, so I don't know what he said. Not at all a Bush supporter at all, I have a new respect that he is able to react to last nights results, I didn't think he had it in him. Posted by: Maureen at November 8, 2006 02:16 PMYou know, I almost feel bad for Bushie boy. I wonder if this is what he's wanted all along and that maybe, just maybe, he's not a nut like his "base". Posted by: Tina at November 8, 2006 03:15 PMI heard it too! (NPR, same as you.) Wonder what he let slip. Hee hee! Posted by: Beth S. at November 8, 2006 03:32 PMCan you see me doing the happy dance? Now maybe Bushie-boy will be held responsible and accountable for his horrible policies. Posted by: Lynne aka witchypoo at November 8, 2006 04:00 PMHe's under a lot of stress. First he riled North Korea and they didn't fold like Iraq, so he had to back down there. Then he lost control of the House and at best for him there is a 50/50 split of the Senate so he has to work with Democrats, which he doesn't want to do. He's already lost Rumsfelt, whom he swore would stay with him until the end. He's a beaten man and he knows it. Posted by: Ivy at November 8, 2006 04:55 PMWonkette's explanation is scary. Eejit. (Dub-ya, not you or Wonkette.) Posted by: Kat at November 8, 2006 10:02 PMThat's too funny, that he has to be on delay because of trash talk... Posted by: Chris at November 10, 2006 02:02 PMWhen something like a bleep happens to our president, and no one, not even one network news show covers it, something is terribly wrong. I think it means someone else his holding the reins and telling us so. I don't know if that's good or bad, but either way it's creepy and we are being deprived of vital informtion and our rights abused. I don't care if he just said sh*t...we have a right to know if our leader is being bleeped, why and what was said. Posted by: Tiva at November 14, 2006 03:11 PMPost a comment
