Happy Birthday J!

A really cool kid I know is turning 10 today. TEN! Double digits. Wow. I've known his mom online since he was about three or four, so this seems crazy. Happy birthday, J!

What I Have Left

I have the following left to knit before Christmas:

1.25 socks

2 wrist warmers

1.75 hats (these are actually crocheted)

small amounts of sewing/weaving in ends on two other things

Now, is it just me, or does that not actually seem so crazy, for once? Of course, that doesn't include the lots of knitting I have left on a gift for someone I won't see until around New Year's, but still... How is everyone else doing?

Ice Storm

Hello! I really didn't mean to be gone this long. Sorry! I promise I will be back.

But for the moment - yes, I am among the hundreds of thousands of people in New Hampshire with no power after Thursday night's ice storm. I stayed with a friend last night, but now I know how to use the woodstove, so I will be sleeping home tonight. At the moment, I am at Panera - thank God for free wifi. But I'm okay, I promise, and I have several back-up options if I decide against staying home.
