March 06, 2007Teeny little socks2007 Finishes: KnittingLook! Proof (albeit small) that I still knit! ![]() I finished these last weekend and immediately gave them away. The pattern is the "Infant Socks" from this year's Knitting Pattern-a-Day calendar, January 12. (I have no idea what the yarn is. Some sort of red sock yarn.) I really like this pattern - I like actual baby socks much better than baby booties in most cases. Comments
They're really cute! Good to hear from you. :) Posted by: Chris at March 6, 2007 03:08 PMThose are so cute & tiny!!! Posted by: Leah at March 6, 2007 03:38 PMVery cute! And not only proof that you knit - proof that you're still alive! I've been wondering about you, it's good to see news. :) Posted by: Crafting Jen at March 6, 2007 04:07 PMCute socks...Must knit more. Knitting good, knitting fun. Of course, this is coming from someone who can't stop knitting. Posted by: Marie at March 6, 2007 04:12 PMI agree. My kids always flipped their booties right off. Socks are better =) Posted by: carrie at March 7, 2007 01:14 PMHi! I DID finish a UFO for February: I spun the beautiful cranberry merino roving that my dear daughter-in-heart (if not in "law") gave me for Christmas in 2005! I bought a new/old spinning wheel (a Lendrum which should be named Len-dream) and spun it up. Mum's the word, though, as it is going back to her as a thank you for the incentive to get spinning again. And now for March: yes, I've finished my March UFO, too. Again, my dear Gali gave me (Christmas 2006) a whole big bunch of hand died green roving. I finished spinning it up and it's beautiful, too! I had started this on my Ashford, so finished it on the Ashford. She's not getting this back, though. I have enough, along with some Zitron Loft, to make a two-toned top of some sort. Another UFO! I know you've been busy and all, but thanks so much for this challenge. I'm really making it work for me. I have enough things (if you include spinning) in the works to last me the year--some things unstarted, but yarn bought, etc., that I think I can play all year!
