December 27, 2006My kitten is smart.Kittens are cute.So. Guess who figured out how to get out of his carrier? While Mommy was driving on the highway? Yeah. Genius, eh? So I'm headed to Petsmart this morning to get a new carrier (perhaps with padlock?) that's actually kitten-proof, and then Dewey and I will be heading home. We've had a great visit, but I think we're both looking forward to getting back to real life. Posted by Kat at December 27, 2006 07:57 AMComments
Oh, clever kitten!!! Mine usually just quiver quietly in the carrier. Posted by: Chris at December 27, 2006 08:16 AMOoo, kitty is cute AND smart! Last time my cat got loose in the car, she stepped in the apple pie which was, yes, covered with Saran wrap, but still, not a happy presentation. =) It will be nice to have things get back to normal, won't it? Posted by: carrie at December 27, 2006 08:49 AMPoor Kat. It's really scary sometimes how smart the little critters can be! Posted by: twig at December 27, 2006 10:28 AMOooh! Smart kitty. Hope you guys had a great trip. Posted by: Arleta at December 27, 2006 11:06 AMHe's just trying to get you to let him in the big carrier with the soft stuff to lay on :) Posted by: Julie at December 27, 2006 11:37 AMI hear you about smart cats. We arrived home around 3 a.m. last night after four lovely days in CT to find a rosy glow emanating from the apartment. Yup, the cats managed to turn on the Christmas tree. I hope the ride home was less eventful for you and for Dewey.... Posted by: sprite at December 27, 2006 05:44 PMI bought a replacement hamster once that managed to escape from the pet store box while I was driving the 75 miles home. It performed the actual escape while I was stopped at an A&W for a burger; I enlisted the help of the carhop to re-trap said hamster. Needless to say, I tipped her well:-) Posted by: kmkat at December 27, 2006 06:33 PMDewey is smart. My cats are couch potatoes. They not only watch TV with us, they sometimes turn on the TV and other times they flip channels. Posted by: Ivy at December 28, 2006 10:50 AMWhat a sneaky little guy! Posted by: Jeanne at December 28, 2006 03:16 PMHey Kat - I tried to email you the spreadsheet, however, I believe you entered the wrong email address. Can you reply to this comment so that I have the correct one and then I re-send it to you! Posted by: lisa at December 29, 2006 08:04 AMHi! Dewey is a cutie-patootie. =) Is the pink bag Dewey's usual carrier? Is it a Sherpa bag? My cat Muffin can get out of her Sherpa bag by stuffing her head up through the zipper on the top. I ended up having to clasp the zipper onto the part where the shoulder strap meets the D-ring. No more Muffin's head through the zipper hole! Yay! Good luck with your smart kitty and Happy New Year!
