August 30, 2006SRP Process ClarificationsSummer Reading Program 2006Wheee, we're getting near the end! Exciting! As you know, the deadline for reading books to be counted is tomorrow, August 31. But I'm going to give you a grace period of one week for posting about them. So you have until September 7 to finish posting about books that you finished reading by August 31. It would be useful if, on your final review, you said something like "And this is my last book for the SRP!" so I know you're done. And if you write something like "This brings my total to x books/y pages, and I did/did not complete my bonus goal," I'd love you forever. On September 7 and 8, I'll make sure my numbers correspond with yours and e-mail anyone from whom I need a clarification. When we're all set with that - hopefully that weekend - I'll draw the names for prizes. There are a few prizes that are geographically limited (like gift cards), so if I e-mail asking where you live, that's why. So... you have one more day! Keep reading!!! Okay... I was a naughty reader. :( I only read 2 of the required 3 and none of my extras. I'd better hurry up and finish my last book! Posted by: mrspao at August 31, 2006 04:53 AMThanks for the clarification! I think I'll have plenty of time to finish my last book tonight... If it helps, you can select the reading category on my blog to get the books I've read. Posted by: Chris at August 31, 2006 08:54 AMYay! I have until midnight to try to squeeze in my last one. I'll post a final tally on my last post because I've switched blogs at the end of the Program. Don't want you to hate me forever. Posted by: Carrie K at August 31, 2006 03:05 PMUh, I'm done. I would say "unless I go on a binge tonight" but I actually just started re-reading the book I started with this summer, so I guess I probably can't count that twice. :) Posted by: Kate at August 31, 2006 08:37 PMGot a quick question: I listened to a number of audio books during the months that the SRP were on - do they count as well as I didn't write book reviews on them. If they do, I could write some book reviews but I don't know how that would work with the page count? Posted by: mrspao at September 1, 2006 03:54 AMPost a comment
