Apparently I never learn.

Work

I forgot to put my name on my Lean Cuisine this morning. It's gone.

We have that same rule at work and I found out they were for real the hard way. I left some coffee cream in the fridge and it disappeared in the few days I was off from work. I can't say anything because there's a sign to that effect on the fridge.

But, I was always taught that if you didn't bring it in, it isn't yours to eat (barring a sign on it stating it's for public consumption).

It's been a long time since I worked in an environment like that, but I was always taught that if you didn't bring it in, it didn't belong to you. (Duh) I don't understand how folks can think it just appeared for their consumption. Sorry your lunch was missing. :(

I don't get that appropriating someone else's lunch either. Surely they know what the hell they brought (or didn't) to work, and your lunch clearly was not brought by them.

Lace something with massive Ex-Lax? Valium? Rat poison? Well, I suppose there could be repercussions for a couple of those. But fun to contemplate.

Argh!!! Do you have a backup plan when that happens? Like ramen in a drawer or something?

It always blows my mind that other people think like that. Why in the world would it occur to you that someone else in your office brought in lunch for you? [we have the same problem here]
