September 23, my foot.

Knitting

So I placed an order with Amazon on Sunday for my textbook this semester (the justification) and, more interestingly, Yarn Harlot: The Secret Life of a Knitter. Because I am cheap frugal, I chose their "We'll ship it for free but it'll be by horseback and take three months" shipping. It shipped yesterday, and they told me it would probably be here on September 23.

Guess what was here when I got home from class tonight?

Not that I'm complaining, of course. I am quite excited. (I am trying to convince myself not to stay up all night reading.) But really. Why tell me it will take 12 days when in fact it will take three? They had me all worried, since I'm going to one of Stephanie's book signings on the 22nd, and according to Amazon, my book would not be here for her to sign. (Yes, I know I could have bought another, but that's not the point.) Anyway. Free three-day shipping. Yipeee!

Okay, off to read sleep.

So you're off to Holden are you? Nice. I don't think I can leave work, get home, walk the dog, drive the car, get lost, get unlost, and find the store by 7. Unless I come down with something .

Lucky you! I was hoping she might come some place closer, I don't like to drive that far. Maybe another time.

BTW, I got the picture from our knitting group posted on Tuesday.
