The solution is to build a really large stash. I mean a huge stash, the biggest ever seen. And do it at a low elevation.

You see, per Einstein, massive objects bend the time space continuum. Time flows slower in a gravity well then it does away from one. So if the stash is massive enough, time will flow slower near it, and you'll have more time to knit. Of course, then you'll have more yarn than you could knit up in a billion years, but since when was that a bad thing?
